Season the ground beef or chicken patty with salt and pepper. Grill or cook in a pan over medium
heat for 4-5 minutes per side until fully cooked.
While the patty is cooking, slice the burger bun in half and toast the inside lightly in the pan or
on the grill.
Assemble the burger by spreading mayonnaise or ketchup on the bottom bun, then adding lettuce,
tomato, the cooked patty, and a slice of cheese if desired. Top with the other half of the bun.
Peel the potatoes and cut them into thin strips for fries.
Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pan. Once hot, fry the potato strips until golden and crispy.
Remove fries from oil and place on a paper towel to remove excess oil. Sprinkle with salt.
Serve the burger with a side of hot, crispy French fries. Enjoy!
